Helpful Supplies
Tip: Make a tagging supply box and keep all your supplies in one place to use each season or while you find things throughout the year.
Tagging Gun: *****MY BIGGEST SUGGESTION! *****
This will make your life so much easier. Tags can't be switched and it is so much faster! (You must make sure you go through the seams of the clothes or you will put wholes in the clothes. Most tagging guns come with 2" barbs. The 1" barbs so much better because they keep everything secured tighter.

CARD STOCK- All items must be on cardstock. It must be light colors or the barcodes won't work. 65lb works the best. Regular printer paper fall off and don't scan well. (items that have not used cardstock will be rejected)
Paper tags will not be accepted. Don't use dark colors
(the scanner wont be able to read the barcodes).
Print on the economy or draft.
The better quality ink will smear the barcode.
HANGERS- All clothing must be hung on hangers please make sure your hanger fits the size of the item. Below are the cheapest prices I have found. Click on the image for the link to purchase. Prices will change but the

Warning:
-
Watch how much you are paying for each hanger. Many times I see people selling hangers on fb and it is so much more than what you can go to walmart.
-
Dollar Tree / Dollar General are much higher per hanger.
Where can I find hangers:
-
Ask on facebook you will be amazed how many people are willing to give them to you.
-
Gather them throughout the year.
-
Check the resale shops they sell them in bundles (watch the price)
-
Walmart is the cheapest to purchase hangers. I have attached the links below. Always check and see how much they are each. Right now they are running $0.15 each at Walmart
PAINTER'S TAPE- great on books or furniture
where the packing tape could damage the item.
PACKING TAPE - Make sure all of your bagged items are taped well. When mommies are shopping the kiddos like to play. If they are not taped shut your items will be all over and hard to put together. Use painters tape on things that the painters tape can pull off finish.
BREAD OR ZIPLOC BAGS- Any items with multiple pieces needs to be bagged to keep them together and then sealed with tape. We love using bread bags they are cheap and work great! You can cut them to size. We also cut them open and put over puzzles .Bread bags are under the ziploc bags at Walmart. (click picture for link at Walmart)
RIBBON OR ZIP TIES- Work great for
keeping pieces together. All shoes must
be attached together. We love these beaded zip ties. They are cheap and work great for keeping items together as well a shoes. You can also put the ziptie through your tag when securing them together. Just poke a hole with your tagging gun and then poke it through.
